I am currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Political Science and Public Law at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). Previously, I held a Ramón y Cajal fellowship awarded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness from 2018 to 2023. I am also an active member of the Research Group 'Democracy, Elections, and Citizenship', led by Eva Anduiza

I earned my PhD in Political Science from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) in 2008. Following this, I held postdoctoral fellowships at UAB (2009-2011), Université de Montréal (UdeM, 2012-2015), and Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC, 2015-2018). I have also served as an associate and visiting professor at UPF and as a visiting researcher at Stanford University.

My research interests focus on two major areas: public opinion and local participation. My primary research has investigated the psychological factors that lead to political participation, including political interest, internal efficacy, and the sense of duty to vote. In 2014, I was awarded my first research grant as a co-applicant alongside André Blais, which enabled me to delve into the psychological determinants of voter turnout. Currently, my research explores the links between emotions and political attitudes such as populism, affective polarization, tolerance, and political interest. I am also interested in the political socialization process, various political attitudes that increase an individual's propensity to participate in politics, and the effects of conspiracy theories on political extremism.
